2026 APR Stops

Support our sponsors! They make this possible!

Feel free to visit these stops in any order. Stay as short or as long as you'd like. For smaller crowds, run these in reverse order. We suggest setting your GPS to 'avoid highways' to see the beauty Central KY has to offer! Feel free to grab lunch anywhere along the way. We have a ton of great food options here! As always, we hope you enjoy the ride, be safe, and see you this evening for the festivities!

Healing Fields

American Legion Post 34 Fairgrounds, 725 W Broadway St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342

Located on the Anderson Post 34 grounds, part of Lawrenceburg City Park, rests a living tribute to Kentucky’s servicemen and women who have fallen in the War On Terrorism. This first-ever permanent Healing Field will fly as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of all Americans and as a healing memorial to families of these fallen heroes. The current field contains 119 flag poles, flags and memorial plaques, each representing a Kentucky soldier who has given their life to protect our freedom. This display is free for all and open year-round for all who wish to honor our fallen heroes.

Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial

365 Vernon Cooper Lane
Frankfort, KY 40601

Constructed in 1988 to overlook the state Capitol in Frankfort, the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial honors Kentucky Veterans who served this nation during the Vietnam War. Each Veteran's name is precisely engraved on the blue-gray granite so the shadow of the sundial pointer touches their name on the anniversary of their death. Thus, each individual is honored with a personal tribute.

The Lexington Distillery District

1170 Manchester Street
Lexington, Kentucky 40508

This 25-acre property was home to the historic James E. Pepper Distillery, which began making bourbon in 1879. However, in 1958 the site was abandoned completely, untouched for nearly 50 years.  Fortunately, in 2008 local entrepreneurs teamed up to bring this area back to its former glory and they did not disappoint. Since then, this revitalized piece of Lexington history has become a lively downtown destination.
